Services: I build software with AI, and I own the quality
I build software with AI, and I stay responsible for the result. AI speeds up parts of the build; the architecture, the review and the quality are mine. I also help founders who have started something with AI tools or vibe coding get it properly built and live. I work from Clockwise in Leith.
What building with AI means here
I use AI as a normal part of how I build, not as a buzzword menu. It helps me move faster on the routine parts of a build. It doesn't decide what gets built, for whom, what's left out, or whether the commercial model makes sense. Someone still has to own those calls, and on my projects that's me.
From vibe coded prototype to live product
A prototype built with Cursor, ChatGPT or similar is a good way to test an idea. Putting it in front of paying customers is a different job. Sign in and permissions, data handling, structure, testing and a proper deployment path usually need work before it's safe to run a business on. I review what you have, tell you plainly what to keep and what to rebuild, then finish it and put it live.
Proof that I build real products
I cofounded What The Fork and owned the product and the build until June 2025. Later Studio SC7 work on the What The Fork website includes AI menu extraction, Stripe Connect and partner onboarding. I cofounded Golf Sherpa in June 2025 and led product and the build of the website and app. On HeroCAD I was full tech lead and developer on a two sided platform, from the architecture to the job allocation workflows.
How it works
Book a free 30 minute chat and show me what you have, or start with the estimator. If it makes sense, you get a written scope and a fixed quote before any build starts. I handle the launch, and ongoing help is agreed separately.

Questions
How do you use AI when you build software?
As part of my own build process. Cursor and OpenAI are among the tools I use on builds. They help me move faster; I review what they produce and I'm accountable for what ships.
Who owns the code if AI helped write it?
The same as any build I do: ownership is set out in the proposal and agreement before work starts.
Is AI built software safe to run a business on?
It can be, once someone experienced has reviewed it and the basics are in place: permissions, data handling, testing and a proper deployment path. Those are the first things I check on a vibe coded prototype.
Can you add AI features to an existing app or website?
Yes, where a feature solves a real problem. Later work on What The Fork included AI menu extraction. If a simpler approach would do the job, I'll tell you.
Does building with AI make a project cheaper or faster?
It changes where the effort goes. Routine work moves quicker, but scope, review and testing still take time, and they matter more, not less. The fixed quote reflects the actual scope, not a promise about tools.
